About Improv School Redlands

Ali & Nik
Improv School Redlands was founded in 2019 by Ali Rafter through the 75 year old Redlands Footlighters Theatre. Ali is a multi-award winning actress who earned her degree from UCLA‘s prestigious School of Theater Film and Television. She has been performing improv for more than 30 years, studying with groups including The Groundlings, Impro, and Tastes Like Burning Improv. She has taught and coached acting classes for over a decade. Her hope is that everyone will experience the joy of improv and take that joy out into the world.

In 2023, Ali graciously passed the space-worked torch to Nik Nieblas, a seasoned improviser, instructor, musician, and filmmaker. With a degree in Creative Writing (Screenwriting) and a deep passion for community, Nik has trained and performed at iconic institutions such as The Groundlings, Second City L.A., iO West, and Spectacles Improv. He has been delighted to share the writer's room and stage with improv and sketch teams: Tastes Like Burning, Pretentious About Make Believe, Story, Story, Die!, Fight Or Flight Club, and ¡Micro Dos!.
